Because he has been a D.C. at a Power 5 school for only 5 years. He would have to get a pretty good gig to make more than LSU is willing to pay him. Lsu would pony up 2.5 million per year to keep him.Outside the SEC that's a lot of money for even some Power 5 schools. Then how much support would he get for coaches salaries and facilities. He has whatever he wants here. That's hard to walk away from for most people. I think Aransas stays another 3 years at least.

Lincoln Riley was an OC at a power 5 school for 2 years before becoming HC of Oklahoma. Dabo was OC for 1 year before being hired as Clemsons HC. The days of top programs requiring previous HC experience are gone. Clemson and Oklahoma are both better jobs than Texas A&M. Texas A&M was paying Sumlin $5M. To think that they won't or can't go after Aranda is incredible ignorant.
