I'll play

On recruiting:
"O followed Miles, Herman followed Strong? O was already on staff.... My gosh, lets dont twist and justify things to fit our BIAS, huh?

My take: Herman was in Houston, not Idaho. He had massive amounts of support and positive publicity. Yet, he didn't seal the deal.
Coach O was roasted by the tards in the area, including on this site). Negative recruiting does occur and this day of social media (including TD), some our "fans" realistically should have been called saboteurs. Did it cost us recruits, who knows for sure, but it certainly didn't help.

On our offense vs. BYU
"When you have no offensive production and a team like LSU scores 27 points against a tired undermanned defense, doesnt make the LSu offense an A,B,C,D or F. At this point, its a TBD."

My take:
The offense was improved over the archaic style we suffered through under Les. I say that because we basically ran the same offense after he and Cam were gone, we were just more effective in terms of play calling imo. Jet sweeps kept the BYU linebackers at bay as they couldn't run blitz non-stop. This allowed us to dictate the point of attack and run downhill. The fact that they held us concerning big plays tells you how good their front seven actually is (top 10 nationally last year and returning most of the key players!).

On Coach O:
The OP's point is that so far, Coach O has done a good job. " No he hasnt done a good job. An OK job is a fair assessment.

My take:
He took over under difficult circumstances last season and performed well imo. The loss to Florida was a game in which we dominated. One big play and some costly turnovers doomed us. EVERYTHING that could go right for Florida went their way. shite happens. As for Alabama, we were in a 3-0 game. Would you have risked losing the game trying to make something happen? Or do you try to grind and find a way or even get lucky? He chose the latter. It didn't work. Then again, the gumps are chumps right?

The future:
When he wont be able to just ride the coattail of another's work. Anyone can take over a well ran dept for a yr or 2 and have success.

My take:
Saying Les is responsible for the success under Coach O to this point is laughable. A well ran department? You do realize how big of a shite show the last few years have been right? Our offense was a dump truck in a race against a sports car under Les Miles. Under O last year, that dump truck got a makeover, but it was still a dump truck...just a fast one. Now we actually have an OC that looks like he knows what the hell he is doing. I agree the jury is still out, but if you can't see the MILES (no pun intended) of improvement, then you may as well mail in any optimism for our Tigers. I wanted Les gone awhile back, but I totally respected the positive aspects of his tenure. Coach O has been shite on since day one by some of our "fans". You do your thing and I'll do mine. Me, I like our chances. Let's see how this plays out.

So much fail in your post leg. Learn some football before you post in here again. And get out from under Coach O's desk and get some fresh air.
You have the audacity to post this ignorant piece and hit send.

if the mcneese game had been played we would have won 10 games every year but once since 2010.

in no fricking way is that a shite show.

like in 2015 when we finished above ohio state, bama, and fsu in offensive yards per game and offensive points per game?

quote:

He took over under difficult circumstances last season and performed well imo.

so you shite all over miles when he had a win % over 76 over 11 years but a win % of 75 is performing well?

its become pretty clear youre ok with results worse than Miles tenure as long as miles isn't the coach.

Time to get behind LSU and its HC whether you liked him being hired or not. He's got our Tigers playing some great football and with that, will likely close out this years recruiting class strong, to bolster this LSU roster even more so with high character athletes

agreed

" how big of a shite show "

Since when did a top 20 ranking and the 3rd highest ranked SEC team as we were in 2015, equate to a "shite show"?? Not what we want, but "shite show" is a ridiculous assessment. imo

The LSU defense played lights out . I don't care who the opponent is, but when you prevent them from running a play inside the LSU territory you have done an outstanding job.

While I understand the concept of playing to your strength, I did have an expectation of seeing more of a passing game.

Overall, I was very pleased. While I was pleased with the overall effort and performance, I think we need to take into consideration that BYU, based of two games, seems to be a mediocre football program this year.
