I just received a txt that I-10 is closed at the state line due to rising water. Can anyone confirm this?

According to the Google it is heavy red traveling west on 10

The Waze app has all lanes open

Waze comments have it attributed to taking pics of flooding and that you can only get to Vidor

I saw KPLC out of LC broadcasting from there this AM, I saw one lane getting through. Website is KPLCTV.com if you want to check it out.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was true with all the water being let out of the dam at toledo. It's been 5 or so days since they opened the gates...timing is about right.

It's open at the state line but closed once you get to Vidor. Checked an hour ago. It's bumper to bumper.

I did Houston to New Orleans this past weekend. Went through Livingston, Jasper, Leesville, and Forest Hill to I-49, then hopped on 190 at Opelousas. Did reverse route coming back. I would recommend this route.

Drove it in the early hours Westbound, both sides open. Road was most dead I've ever seen- easy ride... No problems, cones bring it down to 1 lane all thru the first ~7miles of TX. Water on slow lane for maybe 100 feet but water level was going down.

OT Q -Why is that construction area just into TX seemingly lasting 30yrs, it is because they are using former LA road crews?

I called the TX Department of Transportation yesterday and was talking to a very helpful human within 2 minutes.

Just drove from Lafayette to Houston. Exited at Washington street. Took about 30 minutes more due to traffic, but it was open all the way to where I am.
