Any other OT'ers have a member of their family/extended family that just stirs up trouble everywhere they go? They just constantly seem to be the cause of problems, both within the family and outside? This is just a rant but I will say, I'm not the law breaking kind, but if I watched the news and noticed that they caught a stray bullet, I wouldn't shed a tear.

I can't think of any. Which means it's probably me.

I'm kinda like that in our family. If things get a little boring then I'll make up a rumor about someone getting a DUI or I'll hit in a cousin's wife to spice things up. They say they hate it, but I think the family appreciates someone keeping things interesting.

I've got a step brother that's so black sheeped that he didn't even attend his sister's funeral a couple of years ago and doesn't have contact with his mother anymore.

This is a dude in his 50's.....at what point do you grow out of that shite? For him it looks like never...

Yep. Crazy Uncle. 50+ yeas old. Steals everything to support his habit. Always cursing and complaining about how life is unfair.

I'd knock his arse out but I'm 40 and it wouldn't accomplish anything so I just walk away when I happen to unfortunately see him.

It's like they are a leech on society. They do nothing good for anyone, they just consistently cause problems for people. There ought to be a place for people like this.

I have a family member that I would describe as toxic. On top of that, we are polar opposites on just about everything you can have an opinion on.

Its why I got into cooking so much. My holidays are busy and I can stay away from conversation. True story. I went from pouring cereal to cooking full holiday meals in a year.

I've implemented this strategy when some of my wife's family comes over.

yep, he's a know it all pos. can't have a conversation without him telling you how much better at a,b,c, or d than you are, even if it's your own job. one would think that squandering literally millions and being foreclosed on would give him some perspective and empathy. but he's just doubled down.

I'm definitely the worst of my family. They are wonderful people.

I'm not trashy, not belligerent, but my soul and heart are as black as night and i have no conscience.
