He lowered his head and hit with the crown of the helmet to the head. Defenseless or not, that's an automatic ejection.

I agree with the case that what we saw is "football." However, they are changing the mentality of the game to avoid head injuries. In that realm it was an expected call. Head injuries will happen regardless of targeting. I'd just as soon see the game played the way it traditionallyet has been. Don't eliminate toughness which, in turn, could be detrimental to a defender.
