patient under arrest,
that should not be enough to get a blood sample for someone unconscious. That doesn't meet requirements of 4th amendment.

Buddy of mine, who is a cop, told me something I didn't know. Most cops carry liability insurance... He went out of his "scope of practice" violating this woman's civil rights and will be held accountable for his actions... Salt Lake police will wash their hands of this guy...

So now we're going to punish every cop for trying to do his job? Next we'll be convicting cops every time they kidnap and rape a citizen, when will it end?

Nurse was embarrassed and pride was hurt.

Doesn't deserve millions.

The sad part is...no real action was taken against this officer until the body camera footage was released. This incident happened weeks ago.

This is why body cameras are a good thing.

Saw this coming as soon as she was released and the chief apologized to her and the patient.

How can cops be so stupid, especially when he was wearing a bodycam and it was on?

Bc the job pays like a janitor. So you get small penis, angry people who demand people respect their faux-authority.

I see this type of behavior(not necessarily to the extent this a-hole went, but close) often at my job with the entitled baby boomer generation. They don't understand, and are absolutely shocked when someone tells no. How dare you tell them no, or not give them their way. And argumentative? Holy shite...any way, dude is an a-hole, and has a very punchable face.

Hopefully justice will be done and this cop at least loses his job.

I watched the 28 minute body cam video that shows what happened.

I would give her whatever she asked for in a civil suit against that Police Dept.

The guy bullied her all the way and then lunged at her in anger at the end.

If she asked for $2mm I would giver her $5MM.

The hospital had the agreement document between the PoPo dept and the hospital. The request met none of the agreed conditions.

I understand the PoPo's were trying to blame the wreck where a criminal they were chasing crashed into the badly burned man in the hospital on the burned guy and were hoping they might show alcohol in him and deflect trouble for causing the wreck by saying he was alcohol impaired.

It wasn't just this man. His supervisor ordered him m to arrest her then doubled down by going, in person, to tell her she was obstructing justice. I hope the supervisor is investigated and not just the cop.
