Why does that suck? They lose a receiving option to gain Dline help and had to give up a second rounder and also have to give Richardson big money, eating up cap space on a team that's been thinning in depth.

And if it's because we could have gotten him, no thanks. A 2nd plus needing to pay him isn't worth it, and our line is looking pretty good. Richardson wouldn't be the type of DE we would need anyway as he plays Jordan's spot/role.

I'm not a Seahawks expert (not my team) but I'm under the impression that they have cap now since they've been letting so many players walk.

This was a very good deal for them IMO

They gave up Kearse who they were going to cut. They gave up a second rounder, but that doesn't matter this year. This year they got a lot better on the defensive front. I would really hate to go up against an Avril, Bennett, Richardson, Clark line on passing downs at Centurylink field in the playoffs.

Regardless of how you think this effecst their future, it makes them more formidable this year.
