Need input please Ceramic pro for your car.

I am thinking about having this applied to my car. Has anyone had this done? Its pretty expensive so I am looking for advice. Worth the money? Best places to have this done around Baton Rouge area?

The big negative with Ceramic Pro is that I've heard they will certify almost anyone as an installer. There is no Ceramic Pro trainer going around teaching them like the other major brands do. There are a lot of bad certified installers.
Unless you're positive you're getting a professional installer, try Opti-Coat or Gtechnic Crystal Serum.

That only tells where to have it done. I'm looking for people who have had it done and where and how they like it

I got my car coated at proven automotive concepts in Metairie. I couldn't be happier with the results. If you ask on the card and coffee New Orleans fb page he is highly recommended.

Its supposed to make cleaning easier and protect the paint. I was told you don't have to wax anymore after .

Do they mask window trim, panel gaps, grill, lights...? Sounds like an overspray nightmare.

I searched and came up empty. Its applied by hand I believe. Found 1 place in Baton Rouge but reviews are mixed so I'm a little scared

I know a police office in baton Rouge that does it in his spare time. He does awesome work. He's very anal about vehicles. Philgoodetd@gmail.com amd I'll get you in touch with him.

So you buy a new car where the mfg spends millions in engineering and production design costs to get the best paint - then have some local yayhoo spray some product on the paint to "make it better."

No gimmick at all. Works great. Both of my vehicles were coated with Gtechnic Crystal Serum in the past year. Makes cleaning easy as hell. We used a guy in prairieville who does it out of his house/garage (Bring Back the Shine Detailing, look him up on FB). They decontaminate your car, buff out any scratches in the clear coat, and apply the product by hand. Very tedious process. I'll never own another vehicle that's not coated with a ceramic product.

Superhydrophobic Coating using nanotechnology. Not a gimmick...they have been around for about a decade, but have recently become durable enough to use for top coating vehicles.
There are tons of videos out there explaining the Lotus Effect and how this is being incorporated into coatings. Here is a pretty good overview. LINK
