No. Rap is pure crap. It's about on par with pop music when it comes to creativity and talent. But less so. You can pluck any random 20 year old black kid off the street, give him to a good producer, and he would be successful.

You've pretty much described every pop star.
Ironically, at the VMAs Sunday, the rap guys were the only ones who weren't lip syncing.
