Of course people excited about this damn fight. It's not a boxing match, it's a sports spectacle. Why can't you idiots just be happy that a whole bunch of non-boxing fans are going to be flocking to watch a sport in desperate need of a shot in the arm. You guys should be happy that this is happening instead of acting so pretentious and turning people off.

This "fight" is an abomination and represents everything that's perverse and disgraceful about late republic America.

I wanna see this fight on the street or in the octagon. It would last about 10 seconds.

Showtime earlier called this fight, a pop cultural event.

Now you tell me why real sports fans are pissed about this charade?

When is the last time you heard a championship football game called a "pop cultural event?"

It's a football game, a sporting event...this is not a sporting event.

But enjoy your sleep # life.

Hope you didn't waste $100, but if you did, hope you enjoy the snoozer that this fight will be. When it's finished, you'll wish you listened to the "boxing snobs".

I'm holding out until McGregor and Mayweather agree to fight together against a kangaroo.

Now that would be a shot in the arm!

They're just referring to how popular the event is. Same thing with the Super Bowl. Doesn't matter whether you actually watch the sport or not, you're interested in the event.

Does the Super Bowl disgrace the sport of Football because it's a cultural event? No that's ridiculous.
