Contingencies if NRG is unplayable

Or Houston is unable to host due to recovery efforts. Could TS host the game on short notice?

2nd downvote...
Why wouldn't NRG be playable? Not enough popcorn? Not enough booze for Tiger fans? What realistic scenario could you give me that would force this game to be played anywhere else?...

3rd downvote.....I made the TOP 10!!

There's a severe weather event happening, supposed to drop a metric shitton of rain on Houston.
NRG could be used to house evacuees.

Houston is NOT New Orleans. We don't do "evacuees".

Upvote because this is a legit question. I'm a flood adjuster and based on the last 3 flood events in the Houston area, from NRG south down the 610 were the most impacted areas. The stadium itself will be fine, but the surrounding area could easily be 1-2' underwater. I stayed 2 blocks from NRG on the last 2 flood events, the most damage was within 15 minutes of my hotel.

This merits consideration IMO. Major rain event could happen in Texas as a result of Harvey. Not certain about H-Town but wherever the East side of center hits is in for a shite ton of rain. It should be over by early to mid next week so that's a little time from Saturday.

Houston, we have a problem.

We will be fine here in Houston. This game is not being played for another week and a half. I live off of 59 in downtown and the last two major flooding events we were not all that affected. Roads flooded, yes, but it was business as usual within a day or two. Definitely isn't going to stop a football game.

I live in Texas and I say it'll all be fine

I lived in Houston during Rita. Figured we'd head to relatives in central LA. Got about a mile in over an hour and turned around and said screw it, stayed home.

You may not have been affected, but 1000s of people within 10 minutes of NRG were. Trust me, I was there. Response units won't be turned away from available rooms.........Gainsville was sunny and dry last year on gameday, I'm sure everyone remembers how that turned out.
The closest claims we got from Gainsville were 100s of miles, not 10 minutes down the road.
It will cause a problem if the weather reports are accurate.......but hey, when are they 5 days out?

Legitimate post. Not sure why the down votes.

Probably has more to do with the thought of losing another game due to weather for a third straight year.

My Lord. Houston has plans for shite like this. I'm sure they would have notified everyone by now if it was such a legit possibility as you say. Houston is a huge city, there will be plenty of shelters at buildings other than nrg stadium if it comes down to that. Come on now.
