This, IIRC Garmin has no card ports. Humminbird will except SD card maps and Lowrance will except microSD cards. All cards aren't formatted for all units. It's been my observation that some cards like the Standard Mapping cards work in Lowrance but not in Humminbird so if you have a particular card you're interested in using make sure you buy a compatible Unit.

These Garmin models have card slots, but I believe they only add Garmin maps

I would NOT buy a Garmin due to their lack of acceptance of a mapping card. They did come out with their own version a year or so ago but it won't work on most of their units.
I have a garmin GPS and radar combo 740 love it but I am using maps that aren't worth a shite. So much so have considered adding a lowrance GPS to have a mapping unit to go with what I have.
