I had high hopes for Paul Ryan. Thought he was going to be a very good VP candidate, and really loved his wonkish bent.

Possibly in his defense, I don't think you can be a policy wonk and be Speaker. Gotta be one or the other and he's made his choice and will likely pay the consequences.

If US Chamber of Commerce president Tom Donahue's cock wasn't in Paul Ryan's mouth 24/7/365 he'd be a much better representative of the people and probably a lot more likable.
