theoretically, yes, but I have both endcaps for my omega and there is no discernible difference when using the 2 on 5.56. I quit using the 5.56 endcap altogether because I'm scared id be shooting with someone and theyd used it on 300blk without knowing better

I can't tell any difference between the 2 end caps with my omega on a 5.56
like you i leave the .30 cap on just in case
