People can post all the links they like from opinion idiots. I simply say fine. Google the Democratic platform for every election from about 1880 forward. Tell me if any of them are NOT class warrior platforms. The end.
The majority of Democratic platforms were class warfare. The only difference is the GOP saw an opportunity after the Civil Rights Acts to take advantage of disgruntled whites in the South.
Its politics 101, take advantage of a voting bloc that previously was controlled by your opponent that is currently discontent.
Honestly, the saddest part of all of this is that some people feel the only way they can get ahead in life is at the expense of an entire group of people who have no control over the economics in the country.

A higher percentage of Republicans voted in favor of the Civil Rights Act than Democrats. Why would disgruntled whites back the Republican party knowing that? Especially considering that the loudest outrage of the CRA came from the Democrats. Wouldn't racist Southerners want to reward racist Democrats with their continued support?
