How has the state of America changed your every day life?

I don't really even know how to phrase this post. My frustration is at an all time high because things that I once enjoyed in life have been impacted so much with all of the bullshite going on. I remember when I once watched late night TV. I enjoyed sports and ESPN. I loved movies. I'm a huge history buff. Now none of it is enjoyable. I've lost respect for everyone involved in all of those things. Has anyone just had enough and become a recluse?

Baton Rouge being sacrificed for the benefit of the latest election year wedge initiative by the progressives and the media really sucked.

I quit watching ESPN years ago in my mid 20's, let me tell you I used to love Olberrmann before he was a fricking nutjob and knew anything about his politics. I discuss history with like minded fellows, the new left is the Taliban for all intents and purposes.

I actually communicate with fewer people of color in casual circumstances. I think that I subconsciously assume they are hating me and blaming me for shite.
I don't have time to negotiate barriers every time I speak, so I have just started to avoid communications with strange minorities.
I still keep in touch with those that I know already.
Just something I have taken self-inventory in

It hasn't.

This is part of what I mean. Are you able to put your stance to the side and still enjoy things or has it gotten to you enough that you have allowed it to change you in some way?
I can't help but get pissed when I see a movie "star" like Depp in a film when I know he said something ridiculous. I'd rather just not watch the movie. And I refuse to watch anything, but a sporting even on ESPN.
I've been a fan of SNL in the past. I cannot watch it now because I can't look past the liberal shite. A friend of mine has the same beliefs as me, but he is able to ignore it and I can't. He sent me a clip last week that was really funny and non political about lavar ball and then the last line was "Black Trump everyone" and that annoyed me all over again.

I have stopped watching ESPN and stick to programming that mirrors my worldview.
Typical everyday life is really no different, despite the world around us seemingly eroding into something unfamiliar and abrasive.

I log in and look at my 401k more often. Unreal YTD gains.

Not necessarily because of the world, but my life has changed since I went from democrat to republican. It is a lot harder to speak politically to my friends now.

Except for TV viewing (less news) nothing has changed. My feelings of disgust have hit new highs. In Texas our daily lives have not changed.

It's made it more enjoyable. I love reading about wackos.

absolutely. i used to laugh at doomsday preppers. after watching how the left has lost their minds and become violent without any repercussions from our so-called police, i'm doing my family a disservice to not prepare for the worst.
the liberal/antifa/progressive/sjw/alt-left agenda is destroying MY way of life right before my eyes and i'm prepared to stand my ground and have a plan in place to protect my loved ones.

Stock up on ammo. They're waiting for gun violence at one of these rallies to quash gun rights in this country.
Although, ANTIFA and the current state of DC and the MSM is exactly the reason the second amendment exists.

For me, not at all. What you're mentioning is frivolous. Commentary shows are worthless and the late night TV shows have always just been advertisements for TV shows and movies. Boring.
When it effects your wallet or your liberty then be concerned, otherwise it shouldn't be a problem avoiding the foolishness you mentioned, unless you've been too invested in it until this point.

This is what I think about every time I get fed up with the ridiculousness I see on TV and read on the internet.
My personal life hasn't been affected much.
I didn't watch much cable TV to begin with so it's not hard to stay away from that. It sucks what ESPN has devolved into though, because I remember watching it daily and I can't imagine what that's like now.
I don't feel race relations are any different personally. Although Mitch is trying his Hardest to cause a rift in this city. Luckily it isn't very noticeable in social settings. People seem to always be cordial.
I have a motto I don't talk politics much in public. My friends and I will poke fun at each other every now and again when we have different views, but it's always in good fun. Nobody gets angry even though we can see things very differently.

I don't watch network television anymore. Listen to music less since i am glued to Patriot radio on XM, and I got a conceal carry permit. I am worried that shite is about to go down. The state of this country is not good.
