My god it has been awful on both sides but he just granted time SUPER late to the red sox's batter and Yadi finally snapped

Mattheny came out and got tossed probably just to keep Yadi from being tossed but it had to be the maddest I've ever seen Mattheny

Now they are saying the UMP himself called time right before the pitcher came to the plate (went ahead and half arse pitched it cause it was so late) for no apparent reason at all

Just total incompetence of umpiring all game yes I am pissed

No he didn't. The pitcher stared at 2b fir ten minutes. That's why he granted it. Quit whining

He granted time that the batter didn't even request

ETA: at first I thought the same as you but then saw where the batter apparently didn't even request time

Shoulda tossed yadi. Maybe the backup woulda caught the throw from the OF & not lost the game

Either way, thecpitcher caused it. Dude was ridiculous with how long he sat there on every pitch

if you think I'm gonna fall for this. Air you have underestimated me

ETA: Yadi likely did deserve to get tossed and I'll give the umpire credit for not tossing him

Even so the umpire shouldn't call time himself that late as the pitcher is pitching, amongst other reasons it can get the pitcher hurt

He wasn't pitching. The dickbag was locked in on 2b. The ump was 15 feet away from home when he threw lol

According to our post game guys it doesn't matter, the umpire cannot call time unless it is requested

Idk that that is true but I'd be surprise if they kept emphasizing it if they were wrong

ETA: now that are saying they are unsure

Umpire is a AAA call up. He has done big league games before but not many.

They just posted the actual rule and the umpire shall not call time unless it's requested with the exception of weather, getting an ejected player off the field, other situations that didn't apply

According to Gould Siegel told Yadi (or someone) after calling time that he "needed a break" thus Yadi losing it

That is absurd and honestly I hope it's not true
