Do I have to change my name because of 'muh racist southern monuments'?

If my name derives directly from the naming lineage of a southern general, do I have to change it so as not to offend?
Not talking about surnames or folks who are descendants of such historical figures, just those who have a naming tradition in their family that was originally inspired by those folks' names.
Any Albert Sidneys, or Robert Edwards, or Pierre Gustave Toutants, or Edmund Kirbys, or Edward Porters, or Richard Lees, or William Henrys, or the like out there that are ready to change their names?
Heck, there might even be a John Bel(l) or two floating around...

Give me your conclusion on this...because a name is an identifier as an image (or statue) is an identifier, is it not?
If a person's name were 'Robert E. Lee Smith', for example, what do ya figure the first thing comes to mind is, huh?
Let's hear the argument.

If your last name is Lynch, just don't donate any land/money to an organization in hopes of getting your name on the building.

That his parents gave him a stupid name.

No. Just a Scarlett letter that you're descended from traiterous losers.

My last name was Hitler...
I had it changed
I had it changed

This "muh" bullshite has run its course and then some.

Not traitorous when fighting for their own country

That said, are you saying a 'scarlet letter' is sufficient penance for having a politically incorrect name?

Hey look at me everybody, I think I'm making a point, but I look like a jackass.

But, OK, were you compelled to change it by political coercion?

This is jumping too far down the slope.

Sure there's a few yuck-yucks but the question is really about whether a medium actually conveys a specific message.
Does a statue of Robert E. Lee convey a specific message (i.e., one message -specific)?
Further, is that message passed through the medium of sculpture representative of a particular person's identity, thus linking that particular person to the specific message?
And is not a name (through the media of language and writing) representative of a particular person (their identity)?
Tearing down a statue is tantamount to tearing down a name so why wouldn't or couldn't someone be 'torn down' on the basis of their name and a specific message associated with it or foisted upon it?
