The wife and I will be traveling to Martha’s Vineyard and Boston for a week. We enjoy spots where the locals go for casual food and good drinks. The first three days we will be in Martha’s Vineyard and plan on eating at Red Cat Kitchen and Nancys for lunch or dinner. We do plan on doing a day in Nantucket if any places you recommend would be greatly appreciated. While in Boston we staying at the W and the only place we have set in stone is Legal Seafood. We would like a night of good Italian food in North Boston and open for there on out.

Search prior threads. There are plenty of good Boston rec's, look for AbitaFan.
Not sure about the vineyard.

The Union Oyster House has a fun raw bar and excellent chowder.

Union and legal are probably the 2 most famous places for chowder; you'll get great chowder at either place. Union is also supposedly the oldest restaurant in the country.
I went to both mooo and grill 23 steakhouse. The steak at mooo was better (and one of the best I've ever had), however, I liked the atmosphere at grill 23 better. It was slightly more casual and not quite as intimate at mooo.

There are so many good places to pick from, so it would be helpful if you could help narrow down exactly what you're looking for, how much you're comfortable paying, location of hotel, etc.
Edit: didn't even see it was you who started the thread. Hopefully the guide I emailed you was of good use.

Baxter's Boathouse in Hyannis. Great Seafood Chowder. Full of big pieces of fish in a creamy chowder base.

Vineyard.
Covington was a great spot in Edgartown. Loved the Atlantic for HH and drinks or dancing.
Nantucket- would for sure try out Cisco Brewery during the day for beer, food trucks. CRU has best lunch and raw bar in town.
