You might take a hit on your 2017 taxes for not having insurance for the entire year. Pretty sure that's part of the affordable health care act. People that don't have insurance pay more in taxes.

It's worth looking in you. I made a mistake on my 2016 taxes and the box stating that I had insurance for the entire year got unchecked somehow. It made about a 2k difference in my tax bill. I went from getting back around $500 to owing $1500.
