I do not think they can get away from the spectacle of the wall falling, so it will happen.

That said, it's a big arse wall with most of the castles abandoned.

If the magic protecting it is dead, it's as simple as getting some axes and getting to hacking a hole through the damn thing. It's what, 20 to 30 feet across at the top, 50 at max? We have seen the tunnel, we're talking about a football field or less at the base.

Digging a few tunnels would not be out of the question, but that would be too easy for this series!

I feel like we have to get rid of cersei first then the walls come down about the same time and we spend the final season fighting the war with the whitewalkers.

Perhaps they happen concurrently, cutting back and forth between Jaime strangling her and the Wall falling.

When Jaime stands up from his deed, still in shock from what he's done, the camera cuts to the Night King standing in a similar position, surveying the new gaping hole in the Wall.

Cut to black.

I'm thinking it's around 50 feet thick at the top, while closer to 100 at the bottom. That tunnel through is long enough for a giant to have to crawl through for a while, and they're 16 feet tall.

The way they've built up Cersei, she's not going down this season. There would be some more shite if she only had 3 episodes left.

LF I think is safe to say he's a goner. They're clearly setting up his death.

Probably. I'd prefer that to Jaime getting captured again.

Jaime being captured is probably only going to put him at the Wall. I doubt he's dragged in chains given that they can't really handcuff him.

I'd prefer they wrap Cersei and the war up this season and focus on the NK next season. This has been such a long series it really deserves a couple of episodes just to wrap everything up.

Probably not going to happen that way though.

I think the show just fell in love with Lena Headey as an actress. Which she is very good. But, to be honest I'm kind of done with her storyline. It's just kind of same old, same old to me. Same with Littlefinger. He was such a big player in the game for the longest time but now they have him spouting Rush Chole type mumbo jumbo and smirking a lot.

I'm starting to see why they cut back on the number of episodes for the last two seasons. Some of the storylines are just played out. As things get consolidated, they probably should trim some of the characters who have played big roles.

Yeah, in the books, there's no doubt in my mind she goes down in WoW.

LF was always a character with finite plans that end as soon as the Wall comes down. He clearly hasn't thought of this in the books or the show and his plans center on Sansa becoming Queen in the North and to rule through her in Winterfell. Well that's fricked now that Jon usurped her and even if he didn't, the Others ensure his destruction. Both in the books and show, LF's journey ends at Winterfell. The fact that LF has no armies is greatly emphasized in the books, and once he gets that army (same in the show) that is when he falls.

If Jaime compares him to Arthur Dayne or he's able to impress the Hound, then I'll get on the bandwagon. I really hope Jaime is a part of that battle.

How do you think they'll breach it?

Honestly, I'm not so sure they will breach it. The idea of ice giants dealing huge blows and wights climbing is a really good way to take it, but since the Wall was protected magically, I think it will come down the same way.

The NK raises an army by raising his hands. I think he brings down the Wall the same way. I picture a truly dramatic scene of the NK, by whatever method, causing that wall to come crashing down, much like the walls of Jericho, and all of Westeros will feel the impact in some way.

Yeah, I'm thinking all the dead south of the Wall with any flesh on them will rise. I imagine the Mountain will also be affected. I do like the thought that as the Wall falls Cersei is hosting court and the Mountain's eyes begin to glow blue.
