I repeat, do not pull your kids on tube, etc. behind the boat on the Diversion canal on a weekend. Way too much boat traffic and the water gets rough from all the wakes bouncing off the bulkheads. It's really unsafe on weekends for tubing. The stretch of Amite River between Fred's on the River and the rock wier would be a much better option.
Side note, make sure you follow the signs at the rock wier for the boatway. Lots of people don't realize that there at submerged rocks and they try to cut across and tear up their boat. I'm sure River Rat Rob will have this area labeled on his map.

I actually didn't think people tubed or skied down the Diversion because of all the houses and traffic on the canal. I was kinda surprised when I was told people did pull people behind the boat. I thought it would be a no wake zone most of the way with people using it to get to the lake.
