I stayed at the Crowne Plaza across the road from NRG arena this weekend. It is a nice, clean hotel within walking distance. It did not take any longer than 5 minutes to walk to the arena. It will be an easy walk for Tiger fans for the opener.

The hotel bar... other than that, you'll need to go down to mid town for bars... the area around NRG isn't bar area. Mid town isn't far though

That's the reason I booked that place. After the game, just walk back to the hotel.

I'd just head over to Pappasito's on the other side of the interstate.

Staying here as well. Not bar area but comfortable and convient. Had a good experience two years ago, and after hearing the horror stories of transportation, no brainer to stay here again.
