I'm trying to download some games and am out of space. I see all my games are listed as applications. Can I delete the ones I have discs for? Will I lose all my saves? Is there a way to move them to the cloud? I've been mostly going digital but don't have a lot of games. That 400GB filled up really fast.

Just delete the game data in storage. You won't lose any saves.

Even for games without discs? It won't be gone forever? How do I play it again after I delete it?

Should be able to request a new download from the PS store since you own it.

My son went to game stop and got him a 1 TB external hard drive. Seems to work pretty well so far.

Just go to your library and re download it when you want to play something again.

I was trying to look this up and all I could find was that you had to replace the internal hd. I may have to look into getting an external hd if that's possible.

You just plug in the hard drive via usb and transfer your games.

Digital games especially. They'll be in your library to download whenever.

Pro tip: whenever you think you want to start playing a game, start the download the day before.

You can now just plug an external into the USB slot. I replaced my 500gb internal with a 2tb internal and haven't gotten anywhere near filling it up.

You can. Plug in any USB HDD and it'll format it for PS4 use.

As for redownloading games, you can do so in the library tab. Should be all the way to the right at the main menu.
