weird how local stations don't tell you about the wabbit ears when they get cut off by satellite companies during disputes.

They are cut off because they are asking for more money from the cable companies for something their customers would otherwise get for free. (cable has to pay to offer local channels that are broadcasted over air for free.) I'm not sure having less cable customers is in the local tv stations' best interest at this point.

The locals don't really want you to use an antenna, either, because they make more money if you watch via cable.
