Man I feel sorry for the husband and child. These people that commit sucicide are selfish. If you are that fricking depressed get rid of the guns, get some meds, go seek counseling. I will get bashed but frick it. Nothing worst then a child or loving spouse left picking up the pieces.

Eta: OP sorry for your lost but man this is just getting ridiculous. They need to get help for themselves and their families before it gets this bad.

I used to think they were selfish, but now I firmly believe they can't see past their pain. Not selfish, but trying to eliminate the bad shite in their head. If you have ever had issues with depression or anxiety you might know how this feels. Even with meds, people don't/can't see past the issues that consume them. Literally.

I love how people like you come into every thread like this and spew the same nonsense. Many people that kill themselves sought some sort of help before. Mental illness is a sickness, they aren't making a rational decision, so stop trying to analaize it as such.

Sorry for your loss OP.

Yep, this will screw them up for life In some ways. Victims of suicide are the ones left behind.

Some people don't even realize they're depressed. Still though, when suicidal thoughts start to creep in, they have to know it's not normal. Part of deep depression is not wanting to be a burden on others. When it gets really bad, they believe their existence is a burden on others. When somebody takes their own life, they believe it to be a selfless act.
