You know how you clean catfish?

You grab them (and sometimes they're still wiggling) you shove them onto the sharp end of a hanging nail, you cut them with a knife, then peel their skin off with pliers. Basically flaying them.

So should We throw anyone who's ever cleaned catfish in jail too? Is everyone who's ever clean catfish Mentally ill?

For Christ's sake's every spring we hold events where we take millions of creatures and Dump them live into boiling water!

I mean, do you people who are wringing your hands over this understand your rank hypocrisy?

Think about how it was caught. If you are at all okay with fishing you are okay with the following.

Tricking it into swallowing a barbed metal hook baited with its food.
Yanking it from its briny home for hundreds of feet while it fights you with every ounce of its being the entire time.
When you have it above water, where it struggles to breathe, you stab it with an even bigger hook to get it in the boat.
And once you have it in the boat, you bash it in the head with a bat until it stops moving.



So you're okay with all that, because that's fricking fishing.
