No link yet, just audio (1310 The Ticket).
Police in Virginia have dropped charges after a thorough review of the video footage from the C-Store shows the suspect is NOT Lucky at all. The suspect gave the police Lucky's name and DOB... he had NO ID on him to substantiate it, however. They booked him under the info given.
Will search for link.

As much as I hate criminals, this is pretty clever.
I wonder if people told him he looked like Lucky and he researched him in case he ever got in trouble.
I'm slightly impressed.

This. Switzer had basically taken his job already

Yeah, if you're going to shoplift, you kinda need to be at least in the state at the time to do it.

Which is fine but the timing is beyond awful. Jerry just had a literal come to Jesus meeting with the entire team the day before the warrant story broke. Meeting was about conduct and zero tolerance. News breaks and Lucky is released. Lucky maintained innocence and I guarantee you went to the NFLPA about it. If you're Lucky F'ing Whitehead, this has been a really fricked up week. Like, character damaging fricked up.
Even his poor Wiki page finds him guilty

On July 24, 2017, it was revealed that Whitehead was facing misdemeanor petty larceny charges stemming from an arrest in June having stolen $25 of goods from a Wawa convenience store in Prince William County, Virginia and skipped court summons. Later that day after the team's first training camp practice, he was released by the Cowboys.[7][8]

Not sure about the NFLPA route, but he is probably going to sue that VA police dept.

Not sure why he would sue the police department.
He should have had notice of this and the opportunity to go in and clear this after up.
Probably ignored it and it spun out of control.

The thing is the cowboys don't care about people breaking the rules, they just took this poor guy's reputation and shite on it for a show of force. If Zeke was caught shoplifting they would definitely not cut first and ask questions later. Hell he could be on video committing armed robbery and wouldn't be benched by Jerry and his crew.

How would he have known, they gave the summons to the fake "Lucky Whitehead" when he was released from jail.

You're an actual retard.
Lucky was an UDFA and Zeke was a top five pick. Of course Zeke and guys like Damian Wilson who are key cogs in the team are going to get the benefit of the doubt and the team will wait for things to play out.
Lucky was a special teams guy who may touch the ball on a jet sweep once every other game.

If he was going to get cut anyway he should have never even been out in Oxnard in the first place. They tried to use him to send a message that players screwing up won' be tolerated and it blew up in their faces.
Jason Garrett's responses at the presser today were so completely pathetic that I wouldn't be surprised if this is what causes him to completely lose the locker room by the end of the season.
