Am I the only one that is really rooting for this guy to have a Debo Jones/Duke Reilly like senior year?

He has always been a great ambassador for LSU going back to when he was a recruit.

He also has stuck with the program even when things haven't gone his way. It would have been easy for a former 5 star to transfer when he doesn't see early playing time (ex: savion smith).

I just hope this kid finds a way to be an impactful player this fall.

Good luck to you Ed, I'm rooting for you!

I second that. I'm hoping he's the next Brandon Taylor.

I'm rooting for any Tiger to step up and play their arse off this season. I don't care if it's Ed Paris, any of the receivers, Herron, Etling or all of the above. If they can't then next man up. I just want to win and will root for those committed to winning as well.

I'm with you but it seems that Seniors have had more luck stepping into the LB role since we have been a little thin there. If you aren't playing DB by the time you are a Junior you're probably not going to play. He came in as a CB and the talk has been about moving him to Safety, and I don't know if I see it. If he didn't beat Battle out for Jefferson's position (when Battle was a Sophomore and Paris was a Junior) I don't see him beating out Monroe (Sophmore), Delpit or Stevens for significant playing time.
I certainly agree on all accounts about him being a great ambassador and never complaining or anything. I hope the kid gets his chance, but I also want the best players to play.

I think Ed is a great competitor. I think he will see the field not only on ST but play a major role on the defense. His stock will rise with this season.

Ed's a friend of mine, real good humble dude. Glad to see everyone behind him. He's got his chance this year.

I've been rooting for Paris since it was known that he wasn't gonna make it as a corner. And as a recruit he loved LSU and probably got one or two guys to ultimately sign with us. If he has the instincts and can tackle then I think he has plenty athleticism to play safety for us.

Why wouldn't everyone root for that?

Am I the only one rooting for Etling to have a Rohan Davey-like senior year?
