BUT, BUT....he's only a 3 star and doesn't have an offer from Bama = he's not good enough for us.

Typically I wouldn't, but the irony in you calling someone young and not that bright while sounding like a moron doing so was too much to pass up.

He does look good. If he could put on 25-30 lbs, which isn't unrealistic at all, he could easily be a 3-4 DE.

That statement with the fact he has 35 offers and all in state powerhouses want him yet he wants to be at LSU more than anywhere.. he deserves an offer and could play a couple positions very well in this defense!!

I think he deserves an offer judging by the film but did notice he struggled against bigger guys that could move. I think it depends on the timeframe and position they expect him to play. If he is signed as a DL it will be a few years before he is ready judging by the Film.

I would sign him as a hybrid DE/DT get him in camp and see where he fits the best. Could be a dual threat like fehoko or Lawrence that could play DT or DE. I think he def has the talent but I agree adding some size wouldn't hurt him

If he wants to be a tiger so bad he can grey shirt and commit without a offer like that 4* Parks kid did to Bama last year.

That would be dumb considering he's well worth a scholarship and not every kid has the money to pay for school like him. And Briggs is up to 265 at 6'4, runs a 4'9 40, 4.46 shuttle, and 33 inch vertical with 10 on the broad jump.

Honestly reminded me of Chris Allen's highlights. How disruptive he is yet when he tackles he puts them down with authority.

He's on board and wants to be a tiger!! I think he'd be ok with that plan haha

I think there is a two way street here. I think there are a lot of guys who want to go to LSU. The key is that the Coaches have to have him evaluated as highly as you do.
I agree that stars can be overrated, but we have enough DT/DE guys in the class already. We need OT, WR, QB, LB more than DT/DE at this point. (Only reason QB is so low is that QB recruiting is a multi-year deal these days)

I get that but we're still after a DT if Thompson or porter falls through. Johnson out of Brookhaven is still in play esp after the Ole miss debacle but I do get what you mean. I loved his film and how many offers he had yet just how bad he wants to be at LSU. Aranda is apparently going to take a look so we shall see! But like you said prob won't have room

Plenty of great DT's aren't huge at first. He's at 265 and getting bigger. And please watch his film before trying to talk like that... posting strictly off him being "250" and a DT.... hard even trying to respond sometimes..
