Not much into the beer scene, I'm sure the pros will kick in.
My food list:
McMillan BBQ in Prichard. Wonderfully cooked meat, sauce is Dreamland-ish with not as much bite. Is in the hood with bars on the windows. Brisket great too!
Of course, Dreamland is here, and the Saucy Q on Government near downtown is a local favorite.
Felix's Fish Camp on Battleship Parkway. Everything was good here. Wait staff has cute routine of serving all plates at the same time, like some kind of road show.
Callaghan's Irish Social Club near downtown on Charleston Street. Hamburger often voted best in Alabama. (??!?)
Bob's Downtown Restaurant on St Francis downtown. GREAT little breakfast place with lots of personality.
