Move Beaver Creek 40 miles south.

I agree a good practice facility for public would be nice. Don't see it happening though.

Having a decent place to practice that's relatively easy to get to would be a really nice, with lights for after dark would be a huge bonus.

A halfway decent marshal that does more than check receipts at the first tee. Go drive around and speed up the endless groups hitting the ball 40 yards at a time anywhere but straight.

To me, that is what makes Baton Rouge golf so damn frustrating. This city is overrun with retards with no awareness. It's so rare that you go to a course and have a decent pace of play. There will ALWAYS be at least one or two groups that play at an absolute snails pace while taking 5 practice swings and then topping it 15 yards, only to repeat the cycle. It's infuriating, especially when there are four or five decent groups stacked up behind one slow group and you can see nothing but open holes in front of them.

I don't know why LSU doesn't do this. They would make a killing by using some of that land by hole #9 to create a better practice facility, and I think they already have lights. They could pay a college kid minimum wage to sit there and watch people hit until 10PM and make a good profit.

Too much apathy around Baton Rouge area to be honest with you. Seems like fewer and fewer people are playing golf. Albeit, a lot has to do with people raising kids and being too busy.

Bring back the driving range and have someone re-do the greens at Copper. Layout is so fun for It to be so shite.

Also, move ball washers back to the tips. Ain't nobody got time to go wash their balls at the 1 ups.

That'll be all.

That's going to be a tough one unless you want to play through labor and delivery

It's a shame that Copper is a complete shithole.

80% are at private clubs, if you live in BR you can either afford it or you probably shouldn't be playing golf seriously with your extra cash, it's not that expensive compared to other cities for sure and the options are plentiful.

Yeah you should be spending that cash on home defense systems, body armor, and extra ammo

A second, above average course in the city. It would take play away from Santa Maria, speed up rounds, and keep it easier to get a tee time.

Imagine having Shenandoah, Briarwood, Fairwood, or Sherwood back in the mix.

Which of those closed courses would you consider above average?

I agree with every word, I just don't know where to build another course in the city aside from Nicholson by UClub.
