You do realize, the default is for them to be off, and the officer has to manually turn it on, right?

I bet there's a dash cam vid from another responding officer's car that will show the victim getting struck. Would be pure dumb luck if any bodycam or dashcam caught something giving insight into what happened within the vehicle where the gun was fired.

Yes. I believe that is also the same for his car, flashlight, and taser. He cannot use any of them if he does not turn them on.

My truck works the same way but it is not military grade.

Why not turn it on at the beginning of every interaction with people before they ever get out the car
