Is the Ninja worth it?

Wife and I are looking at quick and easy ways to get a meal in the morning as we head out of the door to bring the kids to school and carry our asses to work. Tell me about your recent experiences with the Ninja. Performance, cleanup, upkeep, etc.
Thanks in advance.

Just clean it after each use. Yeah. It's pretty great in a pinch. I love using it for post workout shakes.

Do you wash by hand or dishwasher? Doesnt really matter to us either way, but curious nonetheless.

I wash it by hand. Be careful. The blades are really sharp.
After I'm done I fill it up with hot water and dish soap and turn it on using the pulse feature. It typically cleans it pretty well. Just make sure you take the blade out and rinse the inside of the bottom. Gunk gets in there.

I prefer Vitamix or blendtec

Blendtec or vitamix are 100% worth the money. We use to mess around with the Hampton beach/ninja type crap and 2 years ago I finally broke down and got a blendtec. Use it everyday. Worth every penny I spent on it. I'm pretty sure it Would crush gravel.

The ninja is a crappy blender but it's essential for chopping vegetables.

This guy is right.
I bought a Vitamin 2 weeks ago, and it's amazing. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

I use my nutribullet to make smoothies. It works great

I have that one, or maybe an older version of that one. It works great. I make smoothies for my kids and store them in the fridge for a couple of days. Then a quick rinse and toss it in the dishwasher. The lid is top rack safe, and the pitcher and blades go down low.

Use a nutribullet for my protein shakes but make smoothies in the vitamix.

Fill the blender half way with warm water and drop a couple drops of Dawn in it. Turn the blender on for 30 seconds to a minute, rinse and dry. Same as dishwasher.
