Ok here is a better understanding. Lawrence, Logan, Shelvin, Key, Chassion, Alexander, Farrel, Thomas, Thornton, Anthony and Martin are all guys LSU has gotten since he's been here and he has done a great coaching job with Lacouture, Gilmore and Herron who will contribute this year not to mention Fehoko who will add depth as well.

Not saying all these guys are coach O's doing but these are all front seven guys that are on this team now and since he's been here the front seven has certainly picked up its game. It was almost immediately impacted upon his arrival. I think he most certainly deserves the credit because it was falling apart before he got here.

We need to pick it up a notch or two IMO but it's much better off then what it was. I think after this season we will start to see bigger players showing interest across the country at what LSU is trying to get accomplished here.

You missed a few - Isaiah Washington, Caleb Roddy and Aaron Moffitt - all defensive ends.

While I agree, I haven't seen anything from the younger guys to say it's transformed. I'm hoping they all ball out.

We got to the QB a shite ton more with Steele, pass d sucked though. So as far as that goes, it was the scheme that changed.

Obviously I think they are getting better coaching from o than brick. But y'all act like LSU dline sucked before. I just say we were not as strong at DT as previous years.

This is about your last post. Changing the QB? Every QB on the roster was recruited by the previous head coach. Mike LB? LSU has had several beasts over the last decade play that position.

Sorry if I'm just pumping the breaks a bit. But LSU has recruited well, and they were doing that without Ed Orgeron.

No, just no! LaCouture was great as a freshman, before O had a chance to coach him.

Gilmore is a slightly inadequate nose guard. I will be very surprised if Ed Alexander does not get the majority of snaps there (even if Gilmore starts).

Herron, like Gilmore, is a former 4/5 star recruit who has never panned out.

However, I do agree that the defensive line recruiting has gotten back to 2008/9 levels. And I think the dline will be the strength of this team.

This does not scream "coached up" to me.
