OT Parents: Did you want a boy or a girl?

Did you feel disappointed when you found out what it would be? Has that changed, or are you still disappointed?

Boy or girl? You know there are more than 2 genders, right. Stop assuming the genders of children of the OT parents.

It's definitely an oppressive question, but I narrowed the choices for the sake of simplicity.

Wanted two children, one of each. Boy first, then girl. Nailed it. My sperm do what I tell them to do.

I wanted a boy. My first was a girl. Second was a boy. Wife got the knife. No more kids.

Don't believe it mattered to either of us, healthy was the desire. We have 3, daughter son daughter. First pregnancy was miscarriage, twins.
Have 7 healthy grandchildren and an 8th on the way

I preferred a boy for my first but really just wanted a healthy child. Got a boy and then another and hopefully that's it.

As long as the child is healthy is what all parents should hope for

My girlfriend and I just found out she's pregnant. I don't care if it's a boy or a girl, as long as it's healthy. But don't tell anyone, it's still a secret.
3 cheers for Little Johnny Bastard!

Who wanted neither but got one of them anyway?

That's the word on the street. I ask because I know of very few people that actually wanted a girl(at least as their first child). Which surprised me because I figured most women wanted a little girl. That doesn't seem to be the case.

Same story for me.

100% agree. I was very relieved that we had a boy.
Adults females too. I just can't relate to most of them. I'm lucky to have several great, non-dramatic, low-maintenance, intelligent girlfriends.
