If its worth anything, I'd rather sign Jrue to a 5 year deal than 31 year old Lowry

Unless that 31 year old Lowry out produces jrue lol

25 mil?? Yea I expected that and Jrue is overpaid
Posted on 7/1/17 at 9:14 am to J_Hingle
31 year old Lowry will most likely out produce Jrue. 33 year old Lowry most likely won't.

Man. I'm relieved to see this thing where it is. They weren't lying when they said AD would make more.
I've probably been watching too much Any Given Sunday, but I hope those incentives aren't "assist" based.
More than ok with waking up to this news.

Dude it's the nba not NFL. 31-33 isn't that big of a deal lol

Do you know the history of short guards over 30?
Posted on 7/1/17 at 9:35 am to Epic Cajun
Not only that but spending about $10 mil less a year for Jrue over Lowry is big for our cap.

Oh well I didn't really want Jrue back that much but I guess we have to live with it

Lowry has a game that will be fine, well into his 30s
A guy like Westbrook is someone I see falling off a cliff about 3-4 years from now.

The Pels have any moves to make after this?
Posted on 7/1/17 at 3:12 pm to BayouBengals03
Nah. We been rumored to have interest in Ty Lawson, Swaggy P, and Michael Carter-Williams though.
My bad lol. I read it as have we made any moves after the Jrue news.

Ah, okay.
So it looks like we're a fringe playoff team, as of now? Obviously there are still moves to be made for teams in free agency.
Golden State
San Antonio
Houston
Oklahoma City
Playoff locks, IMO.
Utah is a lock, in my opinion, if Hayward re-signs. Don't think he will, though.
I think Minnesota is a playoff team. Not a "lock" though.
The Clippers will be worse, but I don't think they'll all of the sudden be terrible. Looks like New Orleans, Minnesota, LA Clippers, Utah, Memphis, Portland, and Denver will fight for the final 4 spots.

I think Portland takes a step back, you can't count on Blake Griffin to be your best player with his injury history if you're the Clippers, and I think Hayward and George Hill leave and Utah is on the outside looking in.

You mean the one where he's missed 14 games due to injury in the past two seasons? He's also 6'4.
