I'd suggest renting a car and driving up the coast if Salem is a "must."

As mentioned before, Salem is kinda dull outside of Halloween time. But if you rent a car and shoot straight north from Salem to spots like Newburyport, Portsmouth, and Kittery (Maine), it's a nice drive and the towns are really cool. You could easily kill a day driving up there.

Thanks we will have a rent car. Ive convinced her we do not need to spend to much time in Salem but she would still like to do a witch tour.
