Why isn't F.C. Cincinnati a MLS team?

With the atmosphere and the crowds they produce , you'd think they would be a good bid. I'd also enjoy the rivalry week game between them and Columbus Crew.

because they didn't pay the $200 million ransom to SUM and the USSF to be recognized as division 1

There's lots of places around the country that could same the same thing. The answer is...money. Ohio's markets are already covered by the Crew.

MLS expansion is on the table. If they add enough to the league, they would be added. At least now the process is open. Either the team/owners have the plan that is attractive, or they don't.

I think they get in. I also don't think MLS has any intention to slow down membership. I wouldn't at all be surprised if they extend to 30+ clubs. For better or worse.

I think cincinnati gets in this next round of four.

23. LA FC
24. Miami FC (tentative)
25.
26.
27.
28.

29.
30.

They played their first game ever just 15 months ago. Nobody expected this to happen. Give it some time

I like FCC, and I admire their fan support. But look at what has happened to their "beloved" reds. For some while they were talked about having the best fan support in baseball. And now look.

What happens if baseball picks back up, can they support both over the summer?

Also, they have to have a new stadium, which seems to be difficult so far.
