How many of those ranked 1-80 have a record as a HC worse than 10-25?

Hell a few ranked 82 or worse have better records. Tedford, Lovie Smith took a team to the Super Bowl, Edsall stunk at Maryland but was great at UConn.

O can move up the list if he has a 10 or even a 9 win season.

But the idolatry of Coach O, not based on his record or talent, but because of his accent and where he was born is crazy.

No other coach with a record 2 or 3 times better would have been considered a good hire.

Having said all that O is the coach I hope he wins every game and goes down as the winningiest coach in LSU history.

I'd take him over everyone in the West except Saban and Mullen. I'd dang sure take him over any other coach in the state. I'd be willing to bet dollars to donuts he lasts longer than Herman does at Texas. Herman may have pulled off the greatest heist since Russell to Oakland or Bonnie and Clyde.

It's sad. Lsu is a top 10-15 program and we should only hire the best. Like the coordinators. Lame hire, and has ALOT to prove

When I saw this thread approaching 600 posts, I knew it had to be the same children arguing about the same thing. Honestly, don't you have anything meaningful in your lives? No one wins the argument, and it's a little sad.
