This is a bullshite trade! The NBA is killing the small markets. It's a 4 team league, the rest is s joke.

The Rockets won't be serious contenders. Conference finals is their ceiling

Listening to ESPN Radio on the drive home tonight, they think the Big3 league model is going to kill the NBA if they keep letting these teams just build massive superstar teams. The last 2 regular seasons have been almost meaningless and this new league is making some huge progress really fast

CP3 typically finds a way to not even reach the Conference finals

How is this a super team type of a trade? Harden was the Rockets' only star before. Now they have two.

Even the Pelicans have two.

Most good teams historically have had two whether it was Shaq and Kobe, Jordan and Pippen, Hakeem and Drexler, etc.

Agree. Still no defense or rebounding. With the trade they lost a lot of depth. Dantoni teams do not do well in the playoffs. Never have and never will.

Lost a lot of depth?

They replaced Beverley with Chris Paul.

The other guys they gave up were Lou Williams, Dekker, Harrell and Wiltjer.

Dekker has some promise but currently isn't any better than many other guys they could pick up on the market. He didn't play much in the playoffs.

Lou Williams is a good scorer but sucked on defense and sucked in the playoffs. He can be replaced.

Harrell played in the regular season when Nene took the night off, but he is replaceable. He was essentially the 3rd string center.

Wiltjer was a D-leaguer.

They didn't lose anyone that can't be replaced off the bench. Rockets have $8.4 million in MLE to spend, $3.2 million in BAE, and have essentially an $11 million trade exception.

They have room to go out and fill their bench with some good role players.

Plus Gordon and Anderson playing lights out. Plus Ariza. Now with CP3 they'll be able to throw a ton of ex-Hornicans in our faces just to make it sting a little more.

I don't see why people say "Houston lost depth" like they lost significant contributors.

Bev->CP3, easily upgradable.

Dekker played 8MPG in the playoffs, replaceable

Lou Williams is their 4th guard. He had a phenomenal shooting series vs OKC but SA wrecked his shite. At the end of the day, he's still your 4th guard...replaceable

Harrell was a flat backup and played like 20 minutes the whole playoff. Nothing.

They lost players #8-10, which is easily replaceable...

I'm just realizing that the Rockets grand plan is to pair every past Pelicans/Hornets player with Harden

Paul
Harden
EG
Ariza
Ryno
