I understand that, but the kid didn't have the stuff. He was missing badly. That decision cost us 3 runs. If you believe that was the right decision, than that's ok, but it still cost us 3 runs.

I would have made a different move. May have worked out just the same, better, or worse, who knows?

How about right now? Lead off double, advance a guy to third. Lefty on righty matchup. Not prepared or willing to make a move, and another run. There are righties in the bullpen that may have been able to get a strikeout with that matchup. We won't know...but we were not prepared to make that move at that moment. That bothers me.

Also, don't disrespect me. I have not done that to you.

Because of poor decisions from the starter to the 4th inning to the approach vs singer.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but you have to be "negative" in a sense and know your guy on the mound could implode at any time and not be able to get it back. There's a reason the guys haven't been sent out there much.

It's a tight game and you have a shot to win. I think CPM is thinking ahead a bit and doesn't want to use up his bullpen in a game he figured he would probably lose

I understand that in the first or second inning and it's not going your way, but Reynolds gave you a good 3 1/3. That's more than enough good work out of him. Bush really prolonged that with a good outing too. We are not far off, but they scored 3 runs on 1 hit, which is poor execution, but the decision to keep a guy in that was struggling to throw strikes there was a big part of this game.

Sorry, a kid with an 8.59 era and 0 starts I don't need to go 9 innings. It was easy to recognize that he was losing it. Righty on righty matchup, as argued earlier, produced two more walks where every at bat started with balls and defeated the entire purpose of the matchup.

My opinion is that the move came too late. I would base that on the history of Reynolds' work and how he looked at that point in the game....his longest outing as an LSU pitcher.
