Laffayette area course suggestion

I will be in the area and playing Saturday. The only course there I've played is the Wetlands. Should I go with that, the Farm, Squirrel Run, anything else?

Squirrel Run has really gone to pot.
The Farm was in good shape last time I played.
I played Wetlands Monday. It's in great shape.

The farm is my favorite public course around there

Atchafalaya is only 45 mins away. I don't think they've punched yet. Great layout if you haven't played there yet.

I think lack of funds led them to not taking care of it. I had heard they are down to 18 holes.

Squirrel Run is in better shape than I've seen it in the past few years. Greens are finally healthy and roll true but slow because they are trying not to lose them again this summer. Backing down to 18 holes was a good move for them.

Glad to hear it! Which 18s did they keep?
Posted on 6/26/17 at 10:10 am to CoachChappy
They kept Steeple and Woods but they are doing some re-designing of a few holes to bring it back to par 72 instead of 71. They also are keeping two of the greens from Plantation as sod farms which is nice. Itll never be a premier golf course but I bet it will eventually be on par with the Wetlands in the area.

Highly doubtful.

It's got some really cool holes. It just needs a huge face lift. I actually have a buy one get one free round out there if anyone wants to split it with me, I'm in.

I'll come play it. Never been.

Which 2 are those? Where is the first tee for each?
Posted on 6/26/17 at 1:44 pm to CoachChappy
Those are both by the clubhouse I think. Plantation was across the street.

The original #1 & #10. On the side of the clubhouse and on the side of the range.

I think are my 2 favorite 9s. I may go play.

Which 9 is the non open tree lined 9? It's cool imo
Nevermind just saw woods, good 9
