I've never flown SW.
Flying with them this fall. Is it really that bad?
Should I pay the extra $15 for the early bird thing to get an earlier checkin/seating group?

Lsu nurse. Do not pay the $15, just get on the internet type in your name and confirmation number 5 minutes before check in as soon as your computer clicks on to the time for your flight (24 hrs) ahead you will get a good number.
I have flown Southwest for 20 years very little trouble, I get in the "A" line 99% of the time

Better than Allegient and Spirit.
Worse than Delta or Jet Blue.
At least they don't frequently get caught beating the shite out of passengers.
