Roundup just kills a ring around it, 24d doesn't work and weed be gone with crabgrass killer stuns it but doesn't eradicate it.
Is it dallisgrass?

No idea what it is, but laying a white cushion over it for a few weeks will make it die of shame.

I think it would be more efficient if I put my dogs water bowl over it don't you think. I dont want a spot the size of a seat cushion of dead grass. But maybe if I do that the white cushion will be stained a but to match the tan Rtic.

It's a paspalum. Either dalliagrass or vaseygrass

98% cuastic would work. See if you can get ahold of some caustic soda beads.

Doesn't crabgrass killer only work in winter?

You are gonna think this is silly but I did this a few weeks ago on my lawn had a few stalls of dallisgrass. Get some RoundUp and mix it half with water and a little soap. Take a small paintbrush and brush it on the leaves
Did this so I wouldn't get overspray on my good grass. Smoked it
I am a little OCD

If it's a few enough amount of plants to do that, why not just pull them up?

Yeah looks like dallis

Called goose grass here. Have to spray it about 3 or 4 times with round up to kill it and then dig it up.

Yes you need to dig it up. Spraying alone won't get rid of it.

Well damn. I have my yard decent with only 4 or 5 spots but my neighbor has a ton.
I have been spraying his yard cause he is lazy and it affects my yard

Dallis on left, vasey on right. If it's just a few spots I'd just dig it up. Or wipe on a strong mixture of RoundUp. And remember that glyophosate is absorbed through the foliage. If Roundup is killing a ring around it, sounds like you're getting more spray on the stalk and grass underneath. Definitely not a fun weed to have.

Thanks they look like dallis weed. Has the black seeds.
So round up and dig up. I'll get to work when they sprout back up.
I put out pre emergent late in hopes to prevent any more from growing.

Your wipe technique reminded me how we once actually used a wick bar to kill it in a pasture.
