Blows hot and cold. More hot than cold, but when car is going slow or at idle blows much colder. So if you speed up from idle starts blowing hotter. Any ideas why it does this?

It'a probably because your AC is broken

Sounds similar to your mom.

Probably not enough gas in the radiator

Could be a lot of different things.

Sounds like your gas cap may be loose

What kind of car?
Sounds like a vacuum leak but most newer vehicles don't use vacuum to control ac

It's a convertible. There's the problem. Close the top.

Not sure on a Volvo. If I had to guess I'd say vacuum leak though

Thanks I'll try to double check for loose or disconnected hose.

When's the last time you had the refrigerant recharged?

Last summer. I'm going to check it in the morning.

They can be hard to find. If it's vacuum operated it'll be a minor leak (cracked hose, leaking diaphragm).
