Like I said the facts are all gone.

how sad, you can't bring yourself to admit that one black got a raw deal during the Jim Crow era.
I am sure some did, but I doubt it was a majority.

does it strike you as rather unusual that a murder trial would only last a day and the jury only deliberated 10 minutes?
considering where and when this happened, it seems rather suspect to me.
As it would seem to any person of reason and devoid of latent racist sentiments.

What if the facts were just too clear?

You doubt that the majority of black people under Jim Crow got a raw deal, when Jim Crow was a system implemented specifically to ensure such raw deals were a fact of life?
Wow.

What if they weren't?
Even if (giant if) they were, a 10 minute deliberation to execute a 14 year old boy are both beyond unacceptable and reek of foul play.
And you know it.

Wow.
History is always vindicating the winners, regarding of facts.

On this specific case, we will never know.

People need to realize that this happened in the extremely rural town of Alcolu SC, a mill town where blacks lived on one side of the town and whites on the other. People were paid in mill money and shopped at the company store. Going to the big town probably meant nearby Manning SC. Throw in 1944 Jim Crow society to the mix.
A one day show trial with a 10 minute deliberation resulting in a death sentence for a 14 yr old black boy seems extremely plausible.

Plenty of facts are still available. This didn't happen in ancient Mesopotamia. The trial lasted two and a half hours (jury selection took longer than the trial), his public defender attorney presented no defense and didn't even cross examine, the sole evidence provided was an alleged verbal confession (of which the prosecution presented two conflicting versions), the judge allowed speculation that he raped the corpses even though it was contrary to the medical examiners report.
All that considered, the kid got railroaded.

There were literally no facts introduced during the trial.

But they wanted to kill those white boys in West Memphis because they dressed differently.
Yeah, no they didn't. There was a lot more in that case than "they dress weird." A whole lot more.

I love this board.
Literally this is a controversial topic on here.
And people here actually wonder why people still consider the South a backwards racist cesspool.

Look at world today, look at the world in 1944, look at the world in 1400, there is one thing in common, I dare you to answer this situation, if you dare.

They were literally exonerated by DNA evidence dumbass. Do you know how that works?

Not backward, but closer to reality in our world.

The American version of Protestantism is, has always been and kinda continues to a farce. Just a cover for governance regarding some skewed and distorted economic and social decorums
