This is going to drag out another couple of years and very well may end up in court.

Everyone involved going under oath and testifying could be better than the banner coming down.

Louisville better worry cleaning up the foundation mess they have on hand instead of fighting the NCAA. The audit exposed a lot of corruption and misuse of money. Folks are heading to jail. The school is broke and they have problems in academics and athletics in scandals.

Well, those are really two separate issues. Ramsey is going to be in some deep crap, I think, but those are governance issues.

Considering they payed coaches out of the foundation when they weren't supposed to, it could get a bit sticky.

Someone could end up going to jail over all of that mess though. That's going to be incredibly ugly.

Ahh yes, another case where Jim Tressel lying about players selling their own personal items to get free tattoos is more severe!!!!

The NCAA is a joke

I'm not sure why people keep saying this: Louisville just got hammered. They lost their 2013 title, 2012 final four, and 108 wins from 2010 to 2014. I'd rather have multiple postseason bans than have those things stripped.

You mean where the athletic department swindled over $2 million out of the foundation to build their soccer stadium...pay Juruch's son over $800 thousand for a made up job...etc...etc. On top of their shady deal with the Yum Center. I will say their athletic department is deep in it.

Taking something away that happened in the past is "not getting hammered". What is a total joke is Pitino getting a 5 game suspension and the assistant coach getting a 10-year show cause.

According to Wikipedia Magee was graduate assistant in 2010-2012. How the hell does a GA afford strippers and ho's for recruits and their fathers? Somebody else was paying.

Can you imagine the filth your body would feel if you showed up at Louisville on a Monday morning and stumbled into an Athletics meeting which included Pitino, Petrino, and Jurich? I'd have to shower for a day to clean the stench from my body.

Can't figure out what sanctions will be enforced on probation. Postseason ban? Scholarship reduction? Anyone know?

How are criminal charges not brought??? This is ridiculous. At a minim\um, providing prostititues to a16 year is contributing to the dilquency of a minor. I would think that is a sex crime. Petino and crew should have to register as sex offenders.

Age of consent is 16 in Kentucky.

Might be a loophole with the prostitution if a third party paid without the client's knowledge.

It went to the Commonweath's Attorney but they couldn't prosecute based on the info from the book alone. They also couldn't verify that her daughters that she pimped out were under the age of consent at the time.

The UNC case is a lot more complicated and I think that's why the NCAA is treading carefully.
It's academic related and now that UNC has lawyered up and is challenging NCAA's jurisdiction it is making it hard for the NCAA to decide how to handle and proceed.
They don't want another black eye like how they handled the Penn St fiasco.
Kind of like Baylor, the NCAA is on the outside looking in on matters like this.

There was an investigation and the State's Attorney decided there wasn't enough evidence to press charges.
