Very tall white guy sitting behind the bench today. Shirt said “Sarasota “. Word is he is a recruit. Any idea who he is?
Only super tall white guy out of Florida we offered is Balsa Koprivica, a 7’1 2019 big out of Monteverde. We haven’t really been mentioned with him, so it’d be pretty out of the blue for him to visit.

2020 pg LJ Cryer Morton Ranch HS in Katy, TX
Pg that creates space and can shoot
Smart kid, will likely stay in college for a couple of years
Ranked 52nd overall prospect in his class
Can play pg or sg
Has ties to Louisiana, sports LSU gear
Averaged 28 pts a game and broke the school scoring record as a sophomore

Adding those four, Bigby-Williams and whatever JuCo/grad transfer we add mixed in with what is going to return has the makings of something special

Adding 4 can't miss professionals to your roster do help.

The recruiting class will help,” Wade said. “We are going to add another defensive-minded kind of junior college kid, or whatever we can find. Someone that has some toughness to him. We have to address that. I can’t sit up here and say all that then go out and get some soft guys. You have to be about, what you say you’re about. We have to go find those guys. That is on us.”
I like bringing in a hungry JUCO kid every few cycles. Edwards has been big for this team.

Looks like the JUCO player the Tigers are recruiting is Andres Ibargen. He is a 6 ft 7 230 pound power forward orginally from Columbia playing at Trinity Valley Community College in Athen Texas who currently averages 11 points and 11 rebounds a game.

Sounds like a grinder in the Jeremy Combs mould.

Too bad Combs got injured I was looking forward watching him play this year. Trying to temper my enthusiasm for next year but it should be a blast.

Remember in the eighties these guy's on the same team?
Shack 7-1
Roberts 7-0
Chris Jackson 6-1
Mo Williamson 6-0
Vernel Singleton 6-7
With:
Gert Hammink 7-0
H. Boudreaux 6-9
W. Sims 6-7
Krejewski 6-9
Deval 6-4
Ended up 23-9 and eliminated in second round in Tourney.
The key would be that WW can have them play as a team and not individuals.

Don't know if posted but this is an Emmitt Williams highlight video from when his team and Naz's played each other. Emmitt looks much more physical and aggressive and at one point plays good post D on a much bigger Reid. Naz looks slow down the court sometimes and sometimes soft but he a load and looks to have great ball skills to go along with it
Also Emmitt Williams was ejected from his state title game, seems like it was 2 techs both for hanging on the rim

Only one I think could get an offer is Mylik Wilson. Dudes a scary good shooter.
I could see him getting an offer if Wade doesn't get his top targets. A top 100 player is a damn good fallback option to have.
Legit shooter & defender. We could do a lot worse. Louisiana talent is pretty bad in 2019...hopefully Wade can continue his elite OOS recruiting. We're going to need it.

Thanks for posting that. So, Williams is 5 on the black team, is Naz 5 on the gray?
At least in those videos, Williams has a lot more energy, and appeared to be more effective than Naz. Naz is a lot bigger but I hope he can improve on his conditioning/energy.

If you combined Naz's size, skillset with Williams' effort/determination, you'd have yourself a #1 overall player.
I think with everything we'll have next year, they will complement one another well. Naz can be as good as he wants to be.
