This is ridiculously over the top and based upon nothing but your emotions. If we'd have just elected John Kerry, we would have already cured quadriplegia, right?
You've missed the point, entirely.

What's the point then? There is an approved strain that can continue to be worked with.

Are you certain you linked the correct story? When I click it says nothing about Alzheimer's and seems to cover the topic in a different thread.

This has to be one of the worst ailments for humans. I sincerely wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. For anyone to stand in the way of any possible cure is absolutely criminal.

I can't believe you're doubling down. You seriously just linked me to the Mayo Clinic? You're no longer even making a point. If you want to find some actual data on current marijuana study, use PubMed (or at least Google Scholar). You have zero idea of what you're talking about and it is evident to anyone paying attention to your posts.
Also, the first line from your Mayo Clinic link:

Cannabinoids are likely safe when used for specific conditions at the recommended doses for the recommended amount of time.
Jesus, dude.. time to step away from the keyboard.

I watched my grandfather go out because of this disease. It was truly horrific to watch that and be very helpless. I hope that this research will resume in the future and that a cure is found.
I'm sorry to hear about your father.

So where do they say there are no more approved strains?
Seems the Salk institute is rightfully upset that it's taking awhile to get the application process with the DEA completed, but I fail to see what that has to do with Jeff Sessions. Ots federal law and a bureaucracy that pre-dates him. But, today is "shite on Sessions" day so most aren't willing to step back and look at what the real issue is.

If people lived longer, won't the drug companies make more money? If so, kinda blows a hole in some of your conclusions.

this board tells me capitalism works but the healthcare industry alone tells me otherwise

That will never happen. Herbs don't really do much of anything. As we cure illnesses and the lifespans go up, new diseases or previously low rate illnesses become more prevalent.

The evolving data argues that this is a significant driver of the process. Some researchers argue that it reflects type 3 diabetes (with the end results affecting the brain...)
I have posted this on here in the past. It was not well received....
It is hard to convince people not to be victims when they are fixated with the strict genetic/familial model that most folks reason they are condemned to...

Jesus dude, you accept that 97% of scientist trust in global warming, but when they say its really generally accepted the long term affects of pot, you want to deny it?

I agree with your general premise, however...
Do you realize how fricking retarded this statement is?

So, OBVIOUSLY, the healthCARE industry is against a cure, as that would wipe out a quarter-trillion in medical expenditures every year.

More people die every year from prescription opiates than all illegal schedule 1 drugs combined. In the time it took me to write this post more people died from chronic alcohol abuse than will ever die from direct effects of marijuana.

Thinking that insurance/research companies have a cure for cancer, etc but decide there's more value in treatment is not a new concept. Not saying I agree but this argument has existed for some time.

Sure, but that's not what he's saying. He's saying the medical industry benefits from the treatment of Alzheimer's patients.
The reality is nearly all of those people are unfunded or on Medicare which pays pennies on the dollar for medical services. Hospitals and doctors eat BILLIONS annually on such care.
